  14. It is interesting to observe that revolutionary communist women have always been on the offensive when they are fighting against the revisionists. The reason may be because they are painfully aware that revisionism breeds bureaucratization, which in turn strengthens patriarchal values, ultimately negating women in politics.

  20. In 1995 an Indian tribal girl, Ramko Hichami, from the village Jhaveli joined the Naxal movement. She rose through the ranks and in 2000 became commander of her Local Organisational Squad. She was known under the alias Raneeta.
    August 22 2011 a police force from Poteagon attacked the village were Raneetas troop was hiding. The others got away but a wounded Raneeta remained, fighting of the police.
    For six hours she fought a total of 250 police officers and paramilitary commandos, killing two and injuring two. Not even when a grenade tore of her leg bellow the knee did she stop firing her old fashioned muzzle-loaded rifle from the small maize field were she had taken position.
    By 4 in the afternoon a team from the special anti-Naxalite COBRA Force stormed the field and killed her.
    Her bravery and determination will not be forgotten.
